Leadership Consulting for teams tired of polite dysfunction

Most leadership programmes produce binders, not breakthroughs. We work differently — sitting inside the real tensions your senior team avoids, then building the clarity and courage to move through them. Based in England, working with organisations across the UK and Europe.

How an engagement unfolds

The diagnostic conversation

Before any proposal, we spend a half-day listening — not to what your team says in meetings, but to what happens between meetings. We interview key stakeholders individually, mapping the invisible dynamics that shape every decision. This is not a survey. It is a series of confidential, structured dialogues designed to surface the patterns no one names aloud.

The mirror session

We present findings back to the leadership team in a facilitated session. No jargon, no 80-slide deck. A clear, sometimes uncomfortable picture of how the group actually functions. This is where most of the real work begins, because seeing the pattern is the first step toward breaking it.

Architecture of new agreements

Together we design practical agreements — not abstract values posters — about how decisions get made, how conflict is handled, and how accountability flows. These become the operating system for your leadership team going forward, revisited and refined over subsequent months.

Embedded follow-through

We stay close for six to twelve months, joining real meetings, coaching individuals, and helping the team hold itself to the standards it set. This is where most consultancies disappear. We don't. Sustainable change requires sustained presence, and we price our work to make that possible.

What we do

Executive one-to-one coaching

Confidential, challenging coaching for CEOs, MDs and senior directors navigating transitions, board dynamics or the loneliness of high-stakes decision-making. Sessions are typically fortnightly and structured around real situations, not hypothetical exercises.

Leadership team alignment

When a senior team is technically talented but collectively stuck, the issue is rarely competence. We diagnose the relational and structural friction, then facilitate the conversations that unlock genuine alignment — not forced consensus, but honest shared direction.

Crisis and transition support

Mergers, leadership departures, restructuring, cultural fractures — moments when the normal playbook stops working. We provide rapid, intensive support to stabilise leadership function during periods of acute organisational stress, often deploying within days of first contact.

Board effectiveness reviews

Going beyond compliance-driven governance reviews, we assess how your board actually deliberates, challenges and decides. The output is a practical improvement plan with specific behavioural shifts, not a generic benchmarking report that sits in a drawer.

Succession and pipeline design

Identifying and developing the next generation of leaders is not about talent grids and nine-box models. We help you build a living succession approach rooted in real developmental experiences, honest assessment and deliberate exposure to complexity.

Outcome snapshots

NHS trust executive team — breaking a two-year deadlock

A newly merged clinical and operational leadership team had been unable to agree on a shared operating model for twenty-three months. After a three-day intensive diagnostic and mirror process, we facilitated agreements that were implemented within eight weeks. Staff engagement scores in the affected division rose by nineteen points within six months.

Private equity portfolio company — post-acquisition leadership rebuild

Following a contested acquisition, the incoming chair needed to rebuild trust with a hostile management team while meeting aggressive growth targets. Through individual coaching and team facilitation over nine months, we helped the group move from active resistance to a functioning, if not always comfortable, partnership. Revenue targets were exceeded by eleven per cent in year one.

Professional services firm — partner group realignment

A 40-partner firm was experiencing a slow fracture between legacy partners and a newer cohort pushing for digital transformation. Our work involved facilitating a structured dialogue series that surfaced the real fears underneath the strategic disagreement. The result was a co-authored three-year investment plan with genuine buy-in from both groups.

Questions we hear often

We do not run programmes. We do not deliver workshops from a catalogue. Every engagement starts from your specific situation, diagnosed through direct conversation, and the work happens inside your real meetings and decisions — not in an off-site conference room. We also stay for the follow-through, which is where most interventions fail.
Our sweet spot is organisations with between 200 and 5,000 employees — large enough to have genuine leadership complexity, small enough that we can access the people who matter directly. That said, we have worked with FTSE 250 companies and with founder-led businesses of fifty people. The common thread is a senior team facing a real challenge, not a training budget to spend.
Most engagements run between six and twelve months, including the embedded follow-through phase. Some executive coaching relationships continue for longer. We do not lock clients into long contracts; we work on rolling quarterly agreements after the initial diagnostic phase, so either party can conclude the relationship if it is not delivering value.
We price on a project basis, not by the hour. A full team alignment engagement typically falls between £25,000 and £60,000 depending on scope and duration. Individual executive coaching runs at a fixed monthly rate. We are transparent about pricing from the first conversation — no hidden extras, no scope creep surcharges.
Yes. We have delivered engagements in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Ireland. Our base is in England, but the nature of the work means we travel to where the team is. Virtual sessions supplement in-person work where geography or schedules demand it, though we strongly prefer face-to-face for the most critical conversations.
